One of our favourite times of the year is around Wavescape Festival & this March we had such a great time supporting all of their incredible events as well as hosting two of them down at our Taproom.

It’s also been so good seeing everyone getting back to “normal-ish” life, sharing their photos of themselves enjoying an ice cold Jack Black after a run, on an adventure, poolside chilling or along with a braai. It’s so awesome to see, so be sure to keep ’em coming!

WAVESCAPE “THE BOARD MEETING”

The Wavescape Board Meeting took place for the first time ever and saw over 20 local surf brands take part in board-swaps, product showcasing, full on surf dorking and of course, sharing ice cold Jack Black beer with mates. We were so stoked to have it all go down over at our Taproom & already can’t wait for the next one. Have a look at the photos from the day over on our or  Facebook Page and the VANS reel here.

WAVESCAPE FESTIVAL ARTBOARD AUCTION  – SUPER SUCCESS

It’s always such an honour to host the Wavescape Artboard Auction and really so special to see the incredible work of the collaborating artists. Auction night is always a total blast, with laughs provided by Nik Rabinowitz and electric energy in the air as the boards are auctioned off one by one.

This year Wavescape managed to raise an incredible R301 000 for ocean charities including Sea Rescue SA, 9 Miles Project, The Beach Co-Op and Shark Spotters

It’s really incredible what a difference this event makes to our oceans and our world. For more info on Wavescape Festival, head over to their website HERE.

PINT FOR A PURPOSE – PROTECT THE WEST COAST

In case you’ve missed it, our current Pint for a Purpose is Protect the West Coast. Every time you order a Pint for a Purpose from Jack Black’s Taproom proceeds from that pint will go towards supporting the incredible work of Protect the West Coast. Jack Black Ambassador, Matt Bromley , sat down with legends Frank Solomon and Pippa Dickson to talk more about what’s happening on the West Coast and why we urgently need to get involved, have a look at the video HERE.

If you’d like to find out more, visit their website HERE & we’ll see you down at the Taproom for a pint 😁🍺
